Rehearsal Celebration

JOIN US! for our "rehearsal" celebration, Friday, July 29th at 9pm. We will be starting off the evening at Tex Wasabi's. It's a really fun bar/restaurant that just rennovated and re-opened its Santa Rosa location. Tex's is owned by celebrity chef, Guy Fieri. If you are in town Friday, please come celebrate with us! Anyone and everyone is welcome!

The Honeymoon

Jeremy booked our honeymoon yesterday!! We will be going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and staying at the Garza Blanca Resort!! We found a great deal on Living Social Escapes and jumped on the wonderful opportunity after much research. We are so excited, just wanted to share with everyone!

Plan Your Trip!!

Hello all wedding attendees!! Just would like you all to know a few details as you plan your trips to Santa Rosa and get ready for our wedding.
AIRPORT and FLIGHTS:
The best/closest airport is Oakland. San Francisco isn't that much farther either, just a lot busier. Both airports are about an hour to hour and half drive, so please consider renting a car..although we'd love to, we do not have time to pick up evreyone. Please consider flying/traveling during daytime Friday.
HOTEL:
Jeremy and I, as well as most of the wedding party, are staying at the Fountaingrove Inn, it's very close to the winery and in the heart of Santa Rosa. If that doesn't fit your budget, there are many other nice hotels nearby.
WEEKEND EVENTS:
Friday--after a small, private rehearsal dinner, we would like to invite anyone who is in town out to celebrate with us!! We will be starting the night at Tex Wasabi's bar/restaurant around 9pm. Fun place and great bar!! Saturday--open to do whatever you'd like. There are no "wedding" plans, so feel free to daytrip to San Francisco, tour some wineries listed below, visit the Redwoods, beach, downtown Santa Rosa and Railroad Square, Sonoma/Napa, anything goes! Sunday-wedding time!! Please arrive at Paradise Ridge by 11am, ceremony will begin at 11:30am and hors d'oeuvres and drink reception will follow, concluding around 2pm. Sunday evening will be a special, reserved time for close friends and family.

Invite Flub...Live and Learn

Hey all, bride made a mistake. I sent out our wedding invitations last week, all with a regular stamp. Because of the "non-regulation" sized envelope, some went through, some were returned to me, and some of you might be charged 20 cents on the receiving end :( MY APOLOGIES!!! For those invitations that were returned to me, I am re-sending yours out, so you will get your invite within the next week. For those of you who received yours no problem, lucky you! For those that paid 20 cents, I'm sorry and I'll give you all one quarter (interest..ya know) at the wedding :) If you are not home when the postman delivers and leaves a note on your door that you have a letter to pick up at the post office, please do so! If you don't, they will eventually be returned to me in which case I'll resend them to you. So within 3-4 weeks MAX, you should ALL have your wedding invitations. I'm sorry, totally my mistake, but I wanted to let you all know you are not forgotten and your invitations are on the way!! (if they haven't arrived already) All this wedding stuff is so new to me, I think I learn a new wedding-related-something each week. This was a big learning lesson...future brides to be, take your invitations INSIDE the post office to be stamped and sent out! :)

Gift Registry

Despite feeling awkward about telling those who want to purchase wedding gifts for us what to buy and where to buy from, it has been brought to my attention that everyone would like some direction :) I have started a gift registry at Pottery Barn, registry ID# N1069630, the Home Depot Registry #6550-290214, and also at Target. We would prefer that if you are going to purchase items and have them shipped, please ship to our home address in San Antonio.

Michele's Corner Bakery in Santa Rosa will be our wedding cake baker! We are having a 3-tiered cake, each on its own separate tier, connected by flowing flowers (hydrangeas and sunflowers). Thus...the option for 3 different cake flavors!! Please post comments or message me to help us choose cake flavors and fillings!!

So far...Jeremy and I have our hearts set on chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse filling with ivory buttercream ganache frosting. mmmmmmm

For the record, rolled fondant is out of the question. :) Bridezilla doesn't like the way it looks..
